Set includes a score, flute part and nine orchestra parts (2/2/2/2/1).
Composed in 2012, “Capricho” is freely composed piece for solo flute and chamber orchestra in a harmonic language that is almost atonal. It possesses moments that are at times spiritedly improvisatory as well as others that are dramatic or comical. Like all of Beltrami’s compositions, the style of this work lies somewhere between melodic and thematic.
